Slow, steady, and softly,

Slow, steady, and softly the waves moved between fingers and limbs, swaying in the deep blue’s horizon.

Slow, steady, and softly, his lips moved into a bashful smile at the sound of her laugh. He enjoyed making her laugh, and she enjoyed seeing him smile. Warm water surrounded them, and warm feelings ensued as the water slowly rocked their floating bodies.

Minutes turned to hours, and the kind ocean waves kissed them goodbye as they slowly made their way to land with sandy feet. The dusk sky, a blazing auburn red, reflected against the sparking ripples.

Slow, steady, and softly, he kissed her goodbye, and the last of the ocean’s water pressed between their lips lingered thereafter.

Sheepish glances and sultry feelings grew as they continued to visit the ocean and laugh in the waves; as they continued to slowly and softly unfold. Steadily, they gravitated to each other — neither of them knowing just what powerful tempest was growing inside.
